Just wanted to know, has anyone here had to or know anyone who has had to pay for WhatsApp? A few months ago i got a notification saying my trial period was extended to mid 2013, that was the 3rd extension i got lol, if i didnt get extensions my WA would've expired early last year. Will we ever have to pay for it i wonder? Seems they should just cut out the account part and maybe have in-app purchases e.g. buying extensions. * +

Lol, iOS users are for ever being extorted, not suprised they had to pay, they even had to pay for Angry Birds. Maybe they are the ones paying for us 
that would explain why we get so many free trial extensions. * +

I have been on it since 09 and I have got those msg as well. Anybody remember Fring, yep got that also from way back in the days, it was first working video calling app worked on my symbian phone to my first Android phone.I think they should make a whatsapp with extra special features then charge for that extension, one should be a profile feature like bbm profile, that would be unique and fit in perfect, any other suggestions? * +
