im thinking of getting my daughter a tablet for christmas, initially i was going to get the nexus 7 but having read a few posts here, reading that it doesnt support flash im having second thoughts. first and foremost i want it to play games and watch films so will a jellybean android be the better choice or shall i stick to ics?? * +

officially jellybean doesnt support flash, unofficially there is a fix for this issue. html 5 will be the eventual replacement for adobe flash but it will take time for websites to convert to the new format. when they do you wont require flash at all, but to be honest its very difficult to put any timescale on when everything will be html 5. * +

just remember to stay clear of very cheap tablets which often dont have the proper android market or playstore. or whatever the dam thing is called now. they also tend to have low power processors which often dont run fast enough to even run flash in the first place. this also means you may not be able to update the android version either. * +

just as an example, maplins sell an android tablet with a hd screen and inbuilt 3g connectivity for just over 100 english pounds which sounds like a real bargain untill you look closer at the specs and discover its got 512mb of internal flash memory and a single core processor running at a breathtaking speed of 600mhz lol so just be very carefull otherwise you could end up with a white elephant! be sceptical of very cheap tablets! ICS maybe your best bet at the moment. * +

If the Note10.1 is too much then look at: Asus Transformer Prime, Sony Xperia Tablet-S,Galaxy Tab2 10.1 , Galaxy Tab2 7inch, and Motorola Xoom 2 * +
