idea Android followers.. , Let's discuss about the future of Android. What is missing from Android? What features would make it complete and what would you implement in the next version in order to drive people towards Android and away from other mobile operating systems such as Ios and Win mobile 7. We all know Android is amazing, yet there are many updates ahead, so if you had a say in what goes, what would you bring to the table? read * +

When you turn on the phone, Android will say Good morning/afternoon,evening Fluidz, it could detect what time you go to sleep using the mic (smartly detecting when there's little sound after the alarm is set, providing the user sets a common time they go to sleep), it would say ''Good night'' after the accelerometer detects no movement after a set amount of time. You could customize greetings, even record your own, i.e - A family member that will soon be absent, could say ''good night'', this would be optional when you first setup the phone. * +

The phones screen will go to sleep after the accelerometer detects no movement, after a set amount of time. Instead of having to set a timeout, which is annoying at times. So you're sitting in front of the tv, the phone is put down on the table, no movement, 5 seconds - screen off, the phone is picked up - the phone screen turns on. If put in your pocket, the already built in light detector will kick in and turn your phone off. A combination of both would be great. * +

You could take a photo of your favourite wallpaper in your home, or many, for different rooms, Android then detects the colours and makes random themes for the user.. These themes could be set to rotate at different times of the day. So the theme in your Bedroom (maybe red and cream coloured walls) would apply at bedtime Android would know what time you usually go to bed as this would be set when the phone is first setup. Upon initial setup one could state the time they go to work, sleep etc.. If every day is random - obviously this wouldn't work that well. * +

i would make all future phones water proof so no more water damaged phones... but can't see that happen myself as phone manufacturers want you to damage ya phome so they can sell more... * +

The user would be able to set their most visited shops/stores/markets in Google Maps, Maps would then store this information and obtain the website/info/sales/opening times for that shop/store if available. When the user travels outside their set home region, and constant movement is detected (to determine the user is on the move), maps will turn on gps at intervals to detect if the user is close in proximity to the shops/stores they set. If found to be close, Maps will then grab info and alert the user. * +

Exactly, but even if they're waterproof, it's still breakable if you drop it - so people would want them to be unbreakable too. There wouldn't be any point in offering you insurance other than for theft, driving insurance cost down. One thing that annoyed me last year was when I climbed Mt Snowdon, Wales (4 times in 2011 lol), i took my phone up only once, and the condensation steamed up my screen so bad i couldn't see what was on the screen. So making a call at the top was nigh on impossible as I couldn't see the contacts. Yet, that's a phone issue and not something Android could fi * +
