Reading XDA, it does have a good effect, some reporting immediate drop in temp, im gna try it, although the only time i experienced heat when playing heavy games. * +

Doesnt work.. Installed the modem earlier, 44c before and after, checked with battery monitor. Only difference I've seen is a constant drop from h+ to 3g when idle, where before my phone would idle at h+, which may help increase battery life. Only time will tell. * +

The fix seems to be working, very well to. Did a lot of app updating last nite with the phone set to WCDMA only, and it didnt heat up that much * +

Polo, i'm finding the same. Battery is showing as 25c atm, unplugged. Before it was 35c. So quite a difference. When I forced the network to use Wcdma, the line dropped and i had no signal, emergency calls only appeared on the screen. This only happened with this modem. The modem I used prior never dropped its signal like that. Still i'm going to test it some more, i'm still not able to reproduce the network losing its signal. However i'm not alone, it has been mentioned in a thread at Xda. * +

A reboot followed by changing the network to Auto fixed the network losing signal issue. Its only happened once, hopefully an isolated incident. What's your temps measure as in Battery monitor? * +
