yes I see where your going, but lets put it another way then. iam happy with the standard of mobile web browsing but not happy with the standard of mobile gaming however much it has improved. I just think gaming is only for the big screen and can only be enjoyed to its full extent that way. thats just me and the other reason is I dont want to deplete my phones battery incase i miss uhh a phone call lol? because I believe recieving a call on a phone is more important than a game. playing the game could mean I run out of juice where I cant charge my phone after all.

because streaming media and web browsing totally don't drain battery lol * +

oh ffs! lol browsing is the same thing! its still a small screen no matter what its doing. the internet isn't made to be on a 4 inch screen either. at very least in games you don't have to pan around and scroll every femtosecond lol * +

look I love technology as much as you probably do lol but I just think modern phones are trying to do too much thats the real reason why I choose not to game on a phone, when they make a smartphone with a decent battery life I may reconsider mobile gaming. the battery drain is bad enough going online without using the full poential of your smartphones graphics chip and draining it still further. thats why I dont! we all know that gaming requires more muscle and power out of the device and the same is true for laptops even if that maybe a better experiance. * +

there's a very big difference in not gaming on a phone and totally saying it's pointless, it isn't. tell that to gameloft, Robert Broglia or any others who have made an ungodly amount of money from it * +

so the reality is I think smartphone battery life is cr*p and I dont think its improved either because although battery capacity and power consumption have improved extra cpu power we probably dont need has counteracted any advances in battery life tech.they improve power consumption but increase cpu power, I find that annoying. whats the point in the power without the durabilty? a dead smartphone is less usefull than an active dumbphone at the end of the day! * +

not just about money either. some mobile games are genuinely amazing and so is emulation * +

yes I agree some mobile games are amazing but my opinion still stands because of power consumption. I still havnt found a smartphone with a good battery life and as long as this power craze with multi core processors continues I dont believe I ever will. at least not untill they have perfected ethanol fuel cells for small devices anyway. (untill they become common place) *
