its ironic that the two old boys in the game 02 and vodacr*p are probably the worst two for signal coverage in the uk. well it certainly seems that for me when I Travel around anyway. ive lost count the amount of times ive had zero signal on 02 while my T-Mobile has had full signal most of the time.

Vodafone is cr*p here in Australia. no signal outside major city's * +

voda is in the USA in the form of Verizon. smh worst service ever * +

vodafone launched britains first mobile phone network in 1985. shortly after we had a network called Cellnet. (which later changed to Bt cellnet and now 02 as its knowned today) we then saw mercury one2one (today known as t-mobile) and Orange. during those early days vodafone and cellnet had the best coverage by far in the uk and it took some years for the other two networks to catch up. today t-mobile and orange offer better coverage in the uk than voda and 02. (hence the two old boys) * +

but of course we now have the 3 network in the uk which is yet another option. the other networks besides the ones I have allready mentioned are virtual networks like virgin who currently use britains t-mobile masts for coverage. our largest supermarket chain Tesco even has their own virtual network or carrier which uses 02s masts or cell sites. *
