depends on the encoding process and if its optimized for your mobile screen or someone else's that has a different screen resolution, the best is probably the mkv container followed closely by mp4, google is your friend *

Some mkv use ogg audio and on one of my friends devices couldn't play them. I'd use trusty ol' mp4 *
