i think with the screen sizes now that a slideout keyboard would make it too bulky. i personally prefer using the on screen keyboard, especially as its themed to match the rest of my phone

I dont know if you have already used N900, I am so comfortable with physical keyboards that I will prefer a phone with physical keys anyday over an onscreen keyboard one even if it is a bit thick, provided both of them have same specs. If you use it once there is no going back. *
