no they are not a virus,you can get a virus from youre pc. but it wont harm youre phone * +

agreed. don't worry about an a.v. money spinners. as saif has said advance task killer pro for task managing. it has a handy auto kill feature. * +

tbh dont bother with task killers. Android is pretty efficient at clearing memory when its running low. android also keeps a cache that allows an app to restart quicker. it uses next to no power to keep things cached, and saves the time and power you'll use when loading an apparently from scratch. * +
