Nokia announced their Q1 results today, and Symbian and even S40 continue to lose their battle against Android and iOS even in Asia, Africa and the Middle-East, markets where Nokia's Smartphones and 'dumb'phones once ruled. Their overall units faced a huge drop and at this point Samsung may have overtaken Nokia in terms of world's largets manufacturer, we'll have to wait for Samsungs report to confirm that, on the bright side they sold over 2million Lumias (710 and 800) globaly, but it hasn * +

To be honest, Nokia are the architects of their own destruction to a large extent: complacency coupled with the release of too many 'new' models distinguished only by an 'i' or 'e' after an unmemorable number - 'Desire' or 'Sensation' make so much more sense than '3100i'. And they've never known ANYTHING about design; and I'm an ex-Nokia user. * +
