Ok, new phone, new excitement...hooked up the HDMI cable to experience playing various emulators on the big screen...was slightly expecting sharper, more crisp resolution like the way it is on the phone. Have configured the tv and the emulators for optimum performance, but...is that as good as it gets? Just wondering... * +

even though the phone can put out hd, the content is not hd. On the phone contend with lower res will look better because it has a smaller space to cover, it does not need to be streched where on the tv it does. * +

well, all emulators for Android are...low definition as the games that are emulated are low definition as the highest games emulated are 64 bit. Thats like hooking a n64 to a HD TV and expecting 1080i output...not a realistic goal. * +

yeah I kinda guessed as much as to what you guys said. The idea is to minimize the screen to a 1:1 ratio, thereby making it similar to an old 14 inch tv or whatever like back in the day, rather than some 40 inch :-) * +

I played shadowgun on a HD TV from my Xperia S and it looked great, wasn't HD but still looked good. Got rid of the phone now though. * +

why did u get rid of your xperia s? @malooga * +

it had too many bugs in the software, the screen kept freezing up forcing a hard reset to be done. And the battery would only last 2 hours or less when playing games or watching movies. * +
