The people who will say dual and quad core arent necessary are those who are fanboys of platforms that dont have multi-core devices, but the GS2 and iPhone4S have truely shown how great it is to have multi-core when it comes especialy to Media and Office to drive very heavy media files and huge documents intended for PCs. Its also true for web browsing, where the multi-cores help handle heavy pages that are fiddle with Javascript, Flash and HTML5. *
