Sounds faulty to me. Let it charge again, then unplug when it says its done, after that go to Settings -About phone -Status and check if the batt realy reached 100percent (make sure phone is unplugged when doing ths). If it says 100 then go to Battery Usage and see whats chowing your batt. * +
