avoid the creating bootanimation part. instead download a new bootanimation.zip file supporting your screen resolution and replace it using root explorer. more in that topic i bumped. or you can google for bootanimation for the specific model which can be flashed via clock work mod. * +

get root explorer and just delete it from the system folder, then you'll just get a blank screen * +

or replace it with one that you find and want. or flash a stock firmware that doesn't have network branding. *
