Having trouble sending emails from desire hd. Was using the hotmail app and was working fine but now it won't send emails but still receives. Also tried azure hotmail app and says that an error occurred * +

I should login in to Hotmail from a PC (or a phone identifying itself as a PC) and have a good old look through your settings, Hotmail often dumps stuff in a separate 'pop' folder if you're using a phone, and you may not be syncing with the 'sent' mail in THAT folder if you get me. * +

iv tried various email accounts. the odd thing is that only a few days ago things were working fine. could it be due to the system update? * +

Is this something you're strictly facing with Hotmail accounts? If so, get on a PC or go to Hotmail website (set user agent in browser to Desktop) and see what happens, it may just want you to reverify your password, happens once every year. If NOT just Hotmail, then go and check your Sync set in Accounts and Sync in Settings. * +

ok well i just logged on from my pc and it shows that my emails have been sent lol havnt used pc in a while. but how come it doesnt show them in the sent folder on my phone? i have all folders set to sync * +

Sometimes there's a difference between 'sent' and 'sent items' - as I said earlier, if a 'POP' folder has been set up (by Hotmail) in your account, move the contents to your normal inbox/outbox and the problem may resolve itself. * +
