its called that on a digital camera aswell, when you delete apps clear catch and dataI know its a photo folder but even if I only take 1 photo with my phone which is around ...say 1mb ,when I check the folder properties its taking up all my other free space which is sometimes 3GB or more that's my point so I have to end up deleting it * +

..works,works @leon29@27.10-03.13am..I used to use my N82 to mannage 32 Gb card stuffed with android stuff when my androids were resting,lol..anyway @gooji,you may dig through folders and files and delete stuff manually to gain some more free memory BUT * +

..you'll have to know what you're doing..quote /insufficiant memory/ in your case means that you can't install some apk because you've already had it installed earlier and deleted, but some chunks left, lol (doesn't have to be just cache or data)..so you'll have to search for it and manually delete..need root for this,I guess.. * +

..finally,if you're not satisfied with default app manager's functions you may always install some 3rd part uninstaller app and check if it works more complex and picks all parts of an apk.. * +

there's also a folder called app_manager/app_backups/user_apps, it has all the apks that you've installed. *
