i'll be able to get a phone on a two year contract from my provider in a week and i'm going for android, but i'm pretty confused here.. all this shiny talk about GS2 makes me want to go for that, but do i really need that monstrous power? i doubt that there's any software that requires such resources, even when under heavy multitasking. and it's quite expensive in the end, too.. so, what do you suggest? * +

s2 is worth of that much price , not only powerful but crisppy clear display and 8mpix camerA wich can record 1080p videos ...if people can waste their on featureless overpriced iphone then why not on this * +

yeah, the display, love it... but that's the point - i dont want to waste my money. i use the phone's camera very rarely, especially for taking videos, so i couldn't care less about the 1080p. about the power - i seriously doubt that tit's possible to put it under heavy load. so, why to waste my money on resources, which i actually won't be using? * +

the power of cpu not only used in playing games and waching movies but it can be senced in every aspect of phone its very very fast in every terms after useing this (dualcore) u wont like to go back to 1ghz phones ...i will repeat agian its worth of that price ....... * +

Go for a mid range htc phone, don't bother with a contract either, save up and buy the phone and then get a pay as you go sim, or monthly rolling contract that You can cancel. * +
