Step 1: Create your animation files with .PNG extension with resolution same as your screen (For my sgs2 its 800x480) with .8bit image depth.Name these files with digit sequence. ef 001.png, 002.png, 003.png, 004.png, 005.png to infinity. * +

Place them in a folder called part0 with an optional looped portion in another folder named part1. Your part1 files should continue the sequence where your part0 files left off. i.e if you have files 001 to 005 part1 folder will start with 006.png, 007.png, 008.png Now you have 2 folders part0 and part1 with png files. * +

create a txt file and rename it to desc.txt. open and type the following ** (480 800 30p 1 0 part0p 0 0 part1) ** without the stars and backets. I did so to highlight the txt part which is important. save the txt. now we have two folders part0 part1 and a txt file named desc.txt * +

add the two folder (part0 part1) and txt file(desc.txt) to a ZIP file using 7zip.In options compression Level setting must be on *store* which is no compression. If you compress any part of the file then it will not work. rename the zip file as bootanimation.zip. Done * +

Now place the zip file using root explorer to /system/media in latest firmwares or /data/local/ in stoneage firmwares and reboot. * +

If you are confused where to place the bootanimation.zip file, open root explorer - press menu in root folder - select search and type bootanimation. if there is already a bootanimation.zip file, note the path and replace it with yours. if you dont find any bootanimation.zip file, * +
