Sorry i havent posted this in news, IMO it deserves a topic of its own. Google are in the process of acquiring Motorola Mobility for 12.5Billion USD, now what makes ths huge is tha Google have many lawsuits against them WRT Android and what this deals means is Google will be getting Motos rather large Patent Portfolio, which can pretty much end all the lawsuits, and Google could actualy start... * +

So not only are Google getting 1000 patents from IBM, they are getting 17500 with this deal frm Moto not to mention another 7500 pending patents: http://is.gd/gTQhZ3 ,LOL! Its a sad sad day for patent trolls Android just keeps getting better ;D * +

This whole thing has got me Googling around, can you believe that Motorola has more patents than Nokia and Nortel put together??? MS, Apple, Sony and Ericsson out bid Google for the Nortel patents, now Google has shot passd them all, they should be sitting on over 26000patents by the end of this year. yep thats really huge and it deserves a topic.. i should not be very strange with that :) what i wonder is if those patents are of any help for android. we know windows get paid for patents in android. will this move from google end this? dies moto have the right patents for android? i hope they do. and ine more. if moto have all this oatents hiw comes they didnt sued any company like apple does? * +
