So I'm at a point in my life where I've had enough with the h0arding and want to live a minimalistic lifestyle (preferably keeping all my belongings in the confines of just a backpack and going all digital would be ideal ). Who here has gone this route? What was the reason for your decision? Have you sold off your Blu-ray/ DVD / gaming/ book/ music CD/record collection? Was it liberating? * +

can't say that I've tried it, well I've de-cluttered a bit and found it refreshing for sure.
I think going too minimal can be making your life difficult just so that your home looks nice to architects. * +

Already minimalist, in comparison to many. It's mostly all books. * +

When i moved out my old flat i had to be brutal. I had a lot of junk. A strict philosophy worked well: If i haven't used it in 6 months it was going to the tip. And very little survived. It was liberating but frustrating when i needed stuff that i'd thrown. Worth it though. I'm due another. * +

Couldn't sell it. It's worth more to me the the few pounds it's worth * +

I've never sold anything, though * +

Got so much sh*t I need to get rid of. Probably end up throwing it out in the end. Fruit machines, decks and equipment. They all need to go in the bin * +

Once upon a time i'd have said you could put all that sh*t in my spare shed but I can't because it's already full of mine and several other people's old sh*t that we don't really want to part with/don't know what to do with either. I have about 2-3 metric tonnes of old books stacked up in boxes in there that I offered to store for a mate about 5yrs ago that he's been promising me he's gonna move 'soon' for about 4 and a half years.(waiting) Pandemic kinda held things up for a while but he's(or should I say, i'm) gonna end up with a big pile of mostly moldy and ruined books on his/my hands if he doesn't get a move on sharpish. * +
