I read of one woman who has 3 kids, she has been told her and her partners direct debits for gas and leccy are to increase from 196 pounds pcm to 498 pounds now and another rise in October anticipated to be 700 pcm. * +

With the vast profits being made from these companies this is nothing short of a racket. It's morally indefensible.
Profits up by 44 percent ,bills up by 54 percent.
What can people do to fight back? * +

Personally, in Ireland anyway , I think anger should be directed at the government...I don't know the situation in the UK...what proportion of the price is down to tax ? * +

Its shocking how much fuel has gone up . I filled up my heating oil last Friday 72p a litre today its 94p a litre . When I moved home 2020 it cost me 41p . It doesnt sound a lot but when your buying 800 litres its a massive increase * +
