sh*t is going down in it's biggest city Almaty after a price hike doubled petrol prices. The hike has been reversed but people are still protesting as its formal authoritarian leader, Nursultan Nazarbayev, still wields much power.

16 protestors dead and 2 members of the security forces reportably beheaded.

2500 'Peacekeepers' sent in by its allies including Russia and Belarus.
