A postman is being criticised for refusing to help a 72 year old woman who had fallen over and couldn't get up. * +

The woman asked for help and the postie replied ''Sorry pal, i can't help as I'm knackered''.
Surely he could have called for help or knocked on a neighbours door for assistance? * +

People are calling for him to be sacked. What say you fellow digiteers?
What if he had lifted her up and damaged his back?

He may have just been cautious 're potentially catching covid from her? * +

Did he stay there and find alternative ways of helping her?
Did he actually reach out or just went along his usual way? * +

He just wandered off/continued on his round. * +

Then he's a c*nt and the outrage is justified.

Helping an elderly person or someone in dire need is a moral obligation on any responsible reasonable person in society.

he's an awful human it seems, but does that or should that have anything to do with his employment / employers ?

there's no law against being a pig of a human being and I doubt there's a clause in his contract that requires him to render aid to those in distress. * +
