Especially in cases of emergency since it's your tax paying dollars that funds them anyway?
Apparently A Florida man just recently thought so and was arrested for calling 911 twice just to obtain a ride back to his home, according to the authorities.
As stated in a criminal complaint, the 22-year-old Matthew Leatham, who had tattooed Florida on his forehead, called 911 after 4 a.m. and demanded for a ride back to his home in New Port Richey suburb of Tampa.

In his first call to the 911 he is reported to have said Im trying to find a ride home. I fu*ked up, Im trying to find a fu*king ride home
Upon inquiring, he claimed to have been drinking a little bit and gave the impression of being unaware of his surroundings. Furthermore, he stated that he has been out for an hour and he isnt able to call anyone except 911.
He was caught by a Pasco County (Country in Florida)'s deputy who propounded him to call a cab which Leatham refused claiming that he had no money. * +

However, Leatham went towards his home adamantly calling 911 again for a ride to his home, the cops elaborated. While Leatham was on line, he was caught by an officer who found marijuana upon examining him.
Therefore, Leatham was imposed with Misuse of 911 system and possession of marijuana penalties.
