Bristol Blenheim crash on Bleaklow. Both crew killed.

Thankfully the clouds had cleared by this time, but the wind was incredibly strong and made navigating a 500ft Clough edge a rather anxious experience. worry.gif

They probably just brushed the grass, and would've been alright if they didn't hit that monument * +

RAF bonber command lost loads of lancs wellington bombers and Halifaxes on bombing raids into Germany we must never forget the brave pilots of the RAF i thank them every day for there brave sackrafise * +

It was totally by chance that I saw it, I didn't even know our small local hospital was on the flightpath. T'was quite the sight, not something you see everyday. Actually heard it coming and knew what it was before I even saw it, the distinctive roar of it's mighty Merlin engine was unmistakable.nerd.gif * +

I got about a 10 second glimpse of it from my window, too far away to bother filming it, could hear it no problem though. *
