Some artist decides to photograph the homeless as an addition to their portfolio. They pay the homeless 20 pounds each photo shoot. Is that morally a good thing or a bad thing to do? * +

Just think,a pic of old John sleeping on a park bench in winter...toothless Mary waving her bottle of cider about . In monochrome! What a picture! The bottle of cider was paid for by the photographer! Is this concept acceptable to you? Would you visit a gallery showing these pix or buy a table top book of the pix? * +

What about paying heroin addicts 50 quid to take photos of them injecting? Morally wrong? * +

Id visit a gallery showing photos like that, yes and i would slip the homeless people a few quid. Better than going to some pretentious gallery claiming a canvas of blue with a stripe down the middle is worth millions! * +

You don't want to pay the people for their services? Would you steal a coat? @crail * +

When I take photos I don't pay anyone. Photos in the street cost nothing. No i wouldn't steal anything * +
