There's a certain kind of unfortunate irony in the fact that the poppy is both the symbolically chosen flower worn in rememberence of the war dead and a directly contributing factor in so much conflict, misery and death.

It has sweet FA to do with drugs. The reason the poppy was chosen is simple, 1 year after the end of WW1 vast swathes of the former battlefront of France and Belgium once a no mans land of death and destruction lay an endless field if wild red poppies. And you can make as much drugs from a red poppy than you can milking a Unicorn for rainbow juice * +
