My mates mum is a housekeeper in a hospital 
maybe an older term but that's what most call them ...and yes ,diggie , dementia patients do get treated for other conditions in hospital ,and some are kept in to be assessed and found a placement depending on what support they have ,or lack of it , at home ..... * +
