I can remember posting about the US navy dolphins fitted with harpoon guns that reportedly managed to escape to the open ocean after their enclosure was flooded during Hurricane Katrina. Post seems to have been deleted though.

New Orleans is on the Mississippi River, not the Gulf of Mexico. I am guessing whoever pulled your leg is still laughing. * +

The spy whale has died. They removed the harness and fitted him with a tracking device before releasing him 5yrs ago, he was found floating in Norwegian waters.

(reading)hmm, I hadn't seen that. I know the russians will often assassinate, or at least attempt to assassinate spys that defect to the west but that's probably a bit extreme for a whale. *
