Could become the 3rd British winner of the Tour De France on Sunday, if he survives today's final mountain stage in the yellow jersey and gets through the individual time trial tomorrow, he will beat his team mate and winner in 4 of the last 5yrs, Chris Froome, to make it a 6th British winner in the last 7 tours. Well he finished second today and extended his overall lead to 2min 5sec, so as long as he doesn't have a disaster in the 31km time trial tomorrow then he's the winner, the final stage is a formality as nobody attacks the leader on the Champs Elysee. * +

I've heard of Chris Frome, he's an excellent cyclist and just googled it and he seems to have had a bit of trouble lately.
Oh so he wins even if he doesn't win, honestly don't know much about the Tour De France but I have watched it a few times. * +

They ride 21 seperate stages over 23days, with 2 rest days. Each stage is like a seperate mini race on that day, Thomas is leading the General Classification or Yellow Jersey competition, which is awarded to the leading rider with the best combined time over all the completed stages at the end of each daily stage, who then wins the right to wear the yellow leaders jersey on the next day's stage, until whoever is wearing it on the final day's stage is declared the winner of the tour.
They also have a green jersey for the points competition, where a certain number of points are awarded on each stage for riders who are the first to pass certain points along the stage and being the first to reach the summit of steep climbs along the route.
And a polka dot jersey for the king of the mountains competition, just like the green jersey but just for the mountain climbs. * +
