Inches from walls, trees, lamp posts, bollards, metal poles, not to mention spectators... all going at upto 200 and odd mph, it's remarkable that more aren't killed really.

Connor Cummins @ Isle of Man TT a few years ago, broke a few bones but recovered and is still racing today.

Ironically it was the speed, or more accurately the momentum that the speed gave him, that saved his life. He was travelling with such momentum that he bounced off the ground, up and over the dry stone wall like a ragdoll. * +
