Consciousness could never fade, a human body could, but consciousness? it would just manifest and express itself in several other profound ways and life forms, in all it's beauty and might, we're eternal.

Buddhists believe just that, our conscienceness is basically bio mechanical energy and Einstein himself once said energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be changed from one form or another to simply dismiss this is naive, although we can not emphatically prove or disprove and the only way to without doubt if it infact does is to die. I for one am in no hurry to find out

Have you looked up the possibility of expanding your realm of consciousness through experiencing DMT or the likes? I mean for any long term experience, it's quite obsolete, but there are inner workings that are simply so intrinsic that human mind loses comprehension to grasp them and psychedelics are known to ignite many such complex phenominom. I'd say definitely worth an experience. Smile2.gif * +

Expansion of the mind or consciousness in this context simply refers to the complete altering of our usual thought processes and our level of perception thereby expanding our mind, as mind itself is an abstract word often refered to an array of thought processes occuring in the human brain and when parts of the brain are impacted by such chemicals for instance opening up of new neural pathways and drastically effecting various receptors, ones perception of life itself can be profoundly impacted from those moments. :) I suppose that's where expansion of mind itself comes from. * +
