On the flip side of that, i grew up on a similar diet and my mum and step dad used to smoke in the house yet (touch wood) im literally never ill. Some years I'll maybe have a cold, a bad year I'll maybe have 2 colds or a cough.
Not saying smoke and poor siet arent factors cause im certain neither were good for me but it seems to me health is very subjective to the individual. One person will react to something that another person wont and vice versa. Maybe it will all creep up on me eventually and I'll get ill later in life
