Thats not the theme, the theme is showing all different families coming together in the spirit of christmas. The problem is muslims dont do this, its just a normal day for them, thats why the muslim owned shops stay open and the taxi drivers still work, and i think thats whats gwtting peoples backs up because it iant a true reflection of what actually happens

well we have seen what happens to those that say happy easter so.... * +

That's exactly what I said and Tesco said it themselves, you're just reiterating what I said to make a point to say what I didn't say but say the same thing anyway.

The political correctness in this thread, from the same old ignorant hippies who don't know fk all about Islam, is embarrassing. Dan's one who gets why the advert is offensive - only then to say 'moderate/normal ones'...

Jesus wept. You mean the most selective?

Muslims are told to actively avoid celebrating Christmas. The Quran forbids them to participate in the celebrations of other religions. I know Muslims who will not be joining in - but they will be out doing good this Christmas, doing their bit to spread good karma and restore faith in humanity. Mostly taxi drivers stretching their services and hours for the big demand, a few of them go round feeding the homeless. You know, whilst Christians ignore them to sit indoors stuffing their faces, instead.

Now if it's just about Muslims being welcome, which the advert claims, then fine. Of course they are. But Muslims bringing gifts through the door, pulling Christmas crackers and - love this one - wearing the paper crowns....?!

Obviously yes, they're welcome if they want to. And many do, i'm sure. But many devout Muslims will not be okay with this. Typical case of the ignorant offending Muslims by actively focusing on the concept of not doing so. Cringe as fk.

Or maybe we're just being nice to Muslims only if they're western enough? * +
