I was always led to believe Marks and Spencer's customer service was supposed to be very good, not in my case, just visited a M n S petrol station shop to do a bit of shopping, picked up some bananas and saw they expire today 9 November, told the worker there and told him to reduce them as its gone 2am on the 9th and they need reducing, got told no so i told him to go out the back and get some with a longer date, also got told no, took his name and will email MnS customer services later today 9 November. Just another nail in the coffin of British shops with their sh*t customer services, they better give me a good explanation or at least send me a voucher, its not the money its the principle. * +

Elsewhere on the internet...
Some t**t just came into the petrol station and started whining about bananas being too expensive. Said he wasn't going to eat them so wasn't going to pay full price. I refused to reduce the price and he got really upset, paid for his bananas and lube and left. * +

It's good to keep people on their toes and demand good customer service. Good for them, good for their employer and good for me. * +

They used to sell Hereford medium cider for a pound a can. Recently they whacked it up to 1.60. These are standard permanent prices. How can they possibly justify a percentage rise like that?! Tesco do the same, you can see a 40 percent change on a standard white label product from one day to the next - but then they shout deal on a yellow label and the special price is the going rate!
Needless to say, M'n'S lost a customer. I wouldn't stop going there if i thought it was just one product but how do I know they're not doing the same elsewhere? I used to get the sarnies, fruit juices and milkshakes but I'm not going in there now. Sainsbury's is two mins away from them. And I find them very consistent.
They pull stunts like this, sat in an office, and it's just another week. But it's not. For customers, this kinda thing sticks. That's me outta there maybe five years now. The mussies don't pull stunts like that. * +
