Took his father's loaded gun to school, to defend himself from bullies...
The bulky situation is getting out of hand at schools, a 13 Ur old boy died due to injuries sustained from being bullied just the other day..
This little boy was only 7 yrs old and felt he needed a gun to defend himself.
Their is the issue of why hasn't anyone one something to help this little boy and how the hell did he gain access to a fully loaded weapon.
Hope his dad loses his licence and firearm and is charged with negligence for the gun and child * +

Anti-bullying laws will come into effect here soon, not exactly sure what that entails.. I heard jail terms for 2-3 years? No idea how they intend to enforce this law on minors. * +

That is ridiculous. I agree that bullying needs to be taken seriously but jailing bullies is not an option imo. * +

I think child services should be called in, the bully's home life scrutinised and therapy given. . At some stage punishment yes if all else fails but giving a child a criminal record is just not the best of ideas ... Neither is expelling them from further schooling as some are calling for * +

I think the solution only became that extreme due to inaction, are schools meant to be a place of learning? Or mini petri dish versions of the 'real world'? The 'natural pecking order' approach clearly isn't working. * +

Bullying is natural and will never be stopped. At least until we live as zombies in science-lab conditions. Which ain't far off.
Every species does it, it's a natural survival instinct.
I'm sure it can be controlled though, and I think a whole new tactic can be found outside the box - it should be brought to the surface and even used in a subject. Kids need to be educated on it so they understand it. Because often, bullies don't even know why they do it. * +

Bullying is kind of character building because in time the victim will fight back and it will make him or her a better person, i remember being 11 ans first at secondary school and got bullied by some older kids, i learnt to fight back, if people just get wrapped in cottom wool their whole lives we will just have a society of weak idiots. * +

Yeah, you're not really saying anything new there. It's kind of the default approach we are already working with. How is that working out for these kids? * +
