It's a bit like when you're at a junction and someone asks about something. You relate it to the junction. You can say you can go off the third exit but that doesn't give them the full picture. I mean if it's a crossroads then that's a right turn, but in the middle of Paris you'd be doing a left. Kinda.

And then there's all the other stuff, like lanes and traffic lights and shit. I mean the crossroads could be in a field, with a little river and ducks, maybe a pub up the road, but not much else. Whereas some city junctions have lanes crossing roundabouts with a mini roundabout or filter lane.

Think of the other vehicles, too - it matters because these big details really make a picture, like you wouldn't remember a man in a grey suit driving a dark blue Audi A6 TDi unless he indicated. But what if it was a jester driving a yellow Mazda MX5? You've got various details and scenarios and it makes for a completely different picture, and you just wanna say it's a junction and you're taking the third exit..? *
