what's the longest your phone has been dead? and I don't mean your mobile. our landline n thus ADSL has been dead for almost a week, n it grinds me that our sh*tty monopolistic telecommunications provider in south Africa decided to take weekend breaks for their technical staff. so I'm just curious how fast these kind of problems get resolved wherever you may be. I know I maybe a little judgemental but I know they fixed the problem for the shopping mall roughly 5 minutes walk from my house on Thursday, yet they have not responded to any of my requests for information on when they will get me or the other five square kilometres that are also stuck with the problem working. also as a pc technician and web developer I realise that for such a wide blackout to occur, connecting the dots to take a guess at where the problem is should take a professional (which I presume they must have since they built the infrastructure) roughly 5 to 10 minutes to work out a few possibilities as to what went wrong. I'm mad as hell n waiting for the phone to reconnected so I can call them n cuss them n give them a piece of my mind, but back to the question, how long have you been without a working phone service while paying for it? * +

But phone dead, not very long... Landline/broadband dead... Not very long either.. Maybe 1 day. * +
