Through the phone speakers it's just volume. They're different tones and different volumes, and it'll vary from phone to phone, and where it's placed.
On my lap, despite a clock, computer fan, and rustling trees outside the open window, i can hear 17khz - but in my pocket i probably wouldn't hear any of them.. * +

i have them Ultrasound antiCatsh*t devices in the garden i carnt hear them but my neice and a neighbour say they verry annoying noise * +

can only hear 8,10,12, deaf as fk
