Benidorm is fine if you know where to go. We've stayed at the Grand Bali a few times but headed for Cala Finestrat when we went out. Benidorm is fine during the day and at night you just stay out of the main strip. Plenty of local bars and decent walks on the outskirts. It's on the Costa Blanca Peta, in Alicante Province
