It's NOT okay to do it against someone's will. If a person who is of sane mind is knowingly and willingly volunteering for it, then it can be acceptable. But one can't trick people into consenting or kill a schizophrenic or someone who is not of a mental ability to understand what he's signing up for or just murder people like Hitler. There are laws/principles and ethics governing the conduct of clinical trials and research on the human subjects. * +
