Yes. All they did was call airport security to escort him from the aircraft, not to beat him into submission.
BTW, that doctor is also a convicted felon who just got his medical license back two years ago.

I think you'll find it's emerged that they dug up the wrong guy's background and without verifying it the media published it only to find it was the wrong David Dao. I digress, I was under the impression most airlines overbook their flights to make sure most leave the ground full if a few passangers fail to turn up. I'm sure this is common practice.
