This might be a weird question, but have you ever noticed in award shows or sports matches, the players/celebrities are mostly seen moving their mouths like a cow? It's as if they are chamming on gum or something. It looks awful as they chew with their mouths wide-open lol did no one tell them it's gross and unprofessional to chew gum while on TV? I've never seen them blowing gum bubbles, but I'd assume it's gum.

So why are they always seen chewing something? What exactly do they chew, and why? * +
