The term 'everlasting storm' is slightly misleading as that infers that it is a single storm that has never stopped, when in fact it is a case of the unique geography of the place causing atmospheric conditions that create lots of seperate storms to happen frequently in the one location. ..seems inevitable really ,especially as the ice caps melt into the seas ....nature is unstoppable,no matter what you feed it ...There was a movie called Slipstream where something like that happened 
that is really what I was envisioning. It would be as though you kicked the weather into overdrive. * +
