It's time where you UK lot once again change your clocks by an hour. WHY? It's silly. I know the practical reasons, but it seems unnecessary. Humans are terrible at adjusting to time changes. But then again, I don't live in UK so can't say if it's LITERALLY useful huh.gif

Then in October, you again change your clocks. I get the practical aspect i.e. to have the daylight hours at a user-friendly time, but it seems unnecessary to me anyways. Does it actually work/save the daylight hours?

Thoughts? * +

You could move to India. No DST here lol

I also hear people say 'you get an hour more of sleep' in the fall. HOW? Let's say I go to sleep at 11 and wake up at 6 (i.e. I'm getting 7 hours of sleep) now DST occurs, I still go to sleep at 11 and wake up at 6 (i.e. I'm still getting 7 hours of sleep) then how in the f*ck do people gain an extra hour of sleep?

The clocks get mucked about with twice a year. First they go forward one hour, and then later in the year they go back an hour. So in the end, it's all balanced out. In the end, you end up losing the hour of sleep you gained, right? So what's the point of adjusting clocks then? Seems unnecessary.

Does seem stupid. IDK maybe useful in UK? * +

the extra hour of sleep is for one day only lol.gif
you go to bed at 11 and wake at 6, but when it gets to 2 o'clock it becomes 1 o'clock again hence the extra hour. * +

An extra hour of sunlight in the evening makes a big difference, I don't know if it'd be worth the logistical headache doing away with it. It's just one of those things. * +
