OMG I know what you mean. I've had that weird urge too, many times before. A great example of this is when one visits the Grand Canyon. They have the urge to jump. There are many stories.

Another thing that comes to mind which is similar to that is when driving on the road (where the traffic goes both ways and the lanes are real close to one another, and there's no barrier between them so the oncoming traffic is coming towards you) I sometimes wonder what will it be like if I went over in that lane and hit a car head-on lol

I get a bit spooky and have to step back, it's too tempting. and like you.. no desire to kill myself lol. I think I just wanna fly. * +

I've also had the urge to jump onto the metro tracks when I was at a metro station, and then quickly climb back up before the train arrives. Yet I had no desire to kill myself. Sometimes I feel like pushing someone in front of the train lol and then quickly pull them up back onto the platform before they get hit.

That's why I stand away from the tracks behind 5-6 people while waiting for the train, because I feel somebody could do that to me. I've got my bases covered.

I'm not sure whether it has something to do with the desire to experience adrenaline rush or if these are just random unpleasant ideas/intrusive thoughts?

Sometimes I feel an urge to hit small children and old elderly men (in metro or in the parking lot lmao) I feel really tempted to hit kids/elderly people. I won't actually do that, btw.

I believe if a person has these random intrusive thoughts, it's quite normal as long as they don't actually do these things

It's like a part of our monkey mind or something.

This is a bit different, and I know this one too lol at pushing someone in front of a train. They shouldn't stand so close to the tracks, too tempting for everyone involved.

Our minds have a pretty sadistic way of getting us to think about dangers. I'll be driving along and see a cyclist, and think, ''If i hit him, corr, he'll fkn fly up in the air, land on his face.'' ..or holding a baby at the top of the stairs, like, ''if i just drop this down there..'' But it's just your head telling you of dangers and getting you to think. Like fear being a defence mechanism to keep you safe. * +

I have experienced such things like thinking to hit a car/cyclist head-on, dropping the baby etc. Have you ever felt an urge to hit small children/elderly people? I'm thinking if a person has these thoughts, it's quite normal. As long as they don't actually do it? I believe anyone who hasn't has serious issues. Maybe not serious, but not normal lol * +
