Since I was 18 about 9 local pubs n clubs have shut...good memories or whatever will be will be?...some of these pubs was over 70 years old * +

Brings back memories of the old pub I used to drink at. Used to be able to get a pint and a pill for under 5 quid. Class. * +

Same round here, we even had a brewery untill greene king bought them out and shut it down. Loads of pubs shut down, 1 local is now a co-op, the other is a sainsburys local. * +

Only talking mile radius in the local sense....more miles talking loads more. Just these the old type of pubs. Birthday parties and 6 form trying to get served * +

2 here are basically gravel pits. One was claimed to be grade 2. Then it wasn't, promises of a business venture...got pulled down 5 years ago n laid to waste. Another is going to be a food warehouse * +

Nottingham city centre is thriving, its just like your 'local' pubs that keep shutting. I blame the price of beer, its keeping people away so hence they're shutting down, also now young people arent going to their locals either so theres no new customer base coming in either * +
