In 1572, Catherine de Medici and her son, King Charles IX of France, in league with Pope Gregory XIII, carried out a plan to lure thousands of Protestants to Paris, ostensibly to attend a royal wedding between a Catholic princess and a Protestant nobleman. The wedding was presented as an opportunity to seal the Peace of St. Germain between French Protestants and Catholics, which had ended the Third War of Religion in France. Instead, it amounted to a successful plot to destroy Protestantism in France by murdering a significant percentage of leading Protestant nobles, and a large number of ordinary Protestants as well. Many more examples but I can't be arsed right now.

Personally it is non of my business what ppl do its all equally labelled sin in the bible and we know were all sinners according to it. It becomes a problem when ppl start bringing it into the church as normal now for Gods standards and demand His laws to be changed. The point is for those who choose God to go and let themselves be sanctified towards the standard. Its everyones own way towards it as its written not even to compare with brothers in the same goal to focus on your own thing and let God lift up those who stumble etc. When they want marriage its there right to get there papers etc and all the covernment benefits just like heteros have. But for me it crosses the line when they force Christians to believe its ok infront of an altar in a church that is supposed to be Christs. They say that they dont want to get church marriage etc when they go thru demanding there rights but end up lying and fighting against those who have different set of beliefs and know the altar is infront of God who did not approve this. They still want ppl to accept that. It should stay in the secular space or those churches etc that approve it. *
