Things have moved in the right direction in this country from when I had to go through family court stuff, albeit briefly because, you know, we're adults and can sort our own sh*t.
But up until recently when a friend went through a horrific process only to eventually gain the full custody of his son, I had no idea that there was still such a large amount of disparity. Like I knew there was some, but this really blew my mind. * +

Last section on prenuptials... Um no one holds a crystal ball. A standard one perhaps. What about children later down the track.. 1 card for everything would save a bulge of cards but invasion of privacy for some. * +

The real solution is to do what Kel said, act like adults. That has to come from both sides. But for everyone else who thinks they can fu*k around and act like impetuous children, grinding the whole system down to a halt.. * +

no, sometimes the courts need to intervene. it is the grandparents place as they would be hard come by to be unbiased. many parents are blind to the faults of their offspring when it comes to the son or daughter in law..... and it also wouldn't be fair to put a grandparent in such a situation * +

Interesting case for fathers here, a bit worrying. A woman won a lump sum and maintenance off her ex husband a couple if years ago, she blew the 300k on bad investments so took him to court for more money claiming she has no money or sort of life now. She won!...so pre nup wouldn't be bad if it's equal both sides. Then again would it include future kids or a mid nup have to be made when they have kids? *
