I think we're 50 years into the most dangerous for the next 200 years, we'll either create a bottleneck to our existence due to war or endeavour to become a post scarcity civilisation. Nuclear fusion, asteroid mining, transhumanism and technological breakthroughs.

One of the potentials in the Fermi Paradox is that many intelligent civilsations end up killing themselves off before getting anywhere. On other alien worlds there's other versions of Stanislav Petrov that didn't think twice and doomed themselves. * +

Then we have to factor in things like a successful 'apex predator' civilization, we could be up against things worse than ourselves.
We're fairly naive, a very noisy species who wants everyone to know that we exist.

This has probably been the best time to be alive. Obviously there are periods of history you think you would like to visit but the odds are that during that visit you were likely to die a horrible death. * +

But we are quite well set up here, the coincidences that led to us being precisely where we are.. Our Moon that encouraged us to become spacefaring, a triple star system right next door (50 years away at best) possibilty is high it will be rich in exotic/heavy elements we can use as fuel to go even further. * +
